I loved the shorts as did my grandson but unfortunately this brand is not made like Nike or Under Armour, they run large. He usually wears a large 12/14, but they were a bit large at the waist and 3.4 inches below the knee. I recommend 1 size smaller than what your child normally wears. Updated 09/28/19. Firstly the size on the website matched the size on the outer label (L 14-16) but the inner label sewn on the back said ' L12-14”. Obviously a big difference.
