This clear case is a bit thicker than that Satin cover but also more durable It appears to be very durable, is scratch resistant and (the underside at least) has shown no signs of cracking (especially the clips) after two years of intensive (daily) travel use.It is occasionally used between the case and the Laptop snags, but it's easy enough to remove and wipe off.
