Spectra Premium 94554 Heater: Experience Unmatched Heating Performance Review

Automotive Replacement Parts should work well, but unfortunately, this one missed the mark. Based on our own experience, this Heater Core didn't live up to its advertising, leaving us feeling cold and frustrated in our vehicle. The only positive we can find is that it was relatively easy to install, but that's not enough to make up for its lackluster performance.

Arrived quickly, well packaged/protected. Although the inlet/outlet pipes are the same as the old ones, the block is thinner than the drain, just enough not to get caught by the bearing mounts. I had to use caulking material around it to keep it in place. Plugged in, the beast started and no leaks (so far). Pleasantly satisfied.

As mentioned, this replacement heater is slightly thinner than the original. But otherwise it fits quite well, even though I had to relocate the brackets with rubber strips. I also had to bend them a bit to line up the holes so I could secure them properly. I had to cut the front panel as both coolant tubes were torn off by almost 1/4 inch. Again, nothing bad and rather a headache, but the cheap price is worth it. Haven't tested it yet but it looks well made and reliable so I don't expect any…
