Good cooler at a good price

This was one of the easiest repairs - replacing the cooler. This radiator fits perfectly and works great. The fans and overflow assembly are easy to transport. Almost looked like a local radiator.

Pros
  • Great product
Cons
  • Overall ok but...

Damaged in shipment

I used to have good luck with the Spectra but Amazon shipped it in an unlined box. The radiator arrived bent and warped in several sections. The Rockauto was slightly more expensive, had a double box and double upholstery and the original parts (Denso) were almost the same price.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Only available in white

Fits my 1998 Subaru Impreza Outback (Manual Transmission)

Fits my old radiator snugly. The 1998 parts manual lists two coolers, but one definitely didn't fit. One has a thicker core, this one has a thinner one. I checked mine before purchasing to make sure I had a match. The holes were there, everything fit. Changing the cooler was very easy - unhook fan wiring, disconnect hoses, remove overflow, loosen top screws, straight up and lift out. Transfer the fans to the new heatsink using the old hardware (no studs, screws, or covers are included new)…

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
