No idea about plants but this person digs

I live in the Pacific Northwest which gets pretty gloomy at this time of year so I bought 2 of these lights for my bedroom overhead lighting. and let me tell you, 2 hours a day of this light therapy is doing wonders for my deluded psychology!

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Smaller than expected

I did not expect this product to be so small. I'm not sure if I ordered the wrong size or what. Either way, they work for my light that I set up for my photo shoot. They donate the necessary light and work perfectly. Great purchase and good replacement for burned out/broken bulbs.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Some issues

definitely not equivalent to 225W

They arrived well packaged. They work. The color temperature looks ok. However, they are a bit brighter than my 80W LED bulb. The Kill-A-Watt meter shows these bulbs draw just over 20 watts, which on the CFL chart equates to about 100 watts of a regular bulb, or about 1300 lumens. Nothing close to the equivalent of 225 watts!

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Refurbished

Effective for SAD Sufferers

A close family member suffers from seasonal depression (aka seasonal depression) and this person found that they spent half an hour under these lights twice a day a great Relief in those dark November days. They fit in a regular lamp (but funnily bulge out a bit) and are much more affordable than the light boxes designed for people with SAD.

Pros
  • High Support and Longevity Scores by Testers
Cons
  • Functionality

very short lifespan

I think the Emart and Slow Dolphin lamps are identical because they look the same. Slow dolphins used to be decent, but now they hiss and explode after around 10 months or 2500 hours max, same as Emart if you're lucky. Full-spectrum fluorescent lights have since been replaced by full-spectrum LEDs, which appear to be long-lasting for now, although roughly equivalent to a 60-watt full-spectrum incandescent bulb.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
