Speed Feed 450 Trimmer Head By Stens - Faster And More Efficient Trimming Review

Looks like a great product, wish it would fit my trimmer.Specifically, I have a Stihl FS55 RC. The threads are different (fine vs coarse) and I could force the Stens head on to my trimmer, but then wouldn’t be able to use any other normal Stihl heads after that, including the part I was replacing. I had high hopes, but alas, somewhere an engineer missed something.

Product works great. Fits on everything except Stihl. Says it will fit, but I haven't found a way. We can fit nearly 30' of .095 line in it. That will do a TON of trimming!

works well on both of my weedeaters with no issues i have 2 very old commercial shindiwa t270 weedeaters tons of torque and power and these heads hold up well ill buy them again when i need them and i also like the easy feed/refill action

This fit my Milwaukee M18 Fuel Quik-Lok with the pre-installed nut. I only needed the black spacer as shown.Installation was as easy as you might expect, I dropped an allen wrench in the hole, turned the old Milwaukee speed feed head until it caught, then loosened by hand. I put the black spacer on and put the new head on. Tightened it up by hand again and I was done. While I was there I flipped the orientation of the string cutter on the Milwaukee's guard to give me another 1"+ of string…

Very convenient and worth the money but this is the third one I've bought in 1 season.When bump feeding in thick grass/weeds the bottom pops off and flings the spring and eyelets across the yard. Lost several hours leaving a job to buy replacements. Ordered this one as a backup for when it happens next.Design of the thumb pressed should be more secure.

Unfortunately it won't fit my Kawasaki KBL26A but this unit is built well and all the necessary configurations come enclosed

Makes changing weed-eater string a breeze. There is absolutely no need to take the trimmer head apart to change the string.

Ok great product had a landscape guy tell me about them. I’m pretty mechanical I rebuild chainsaws The instructions suck. My suggestion would be instead of trying to make a sheet cover every thing have trimmer specific sheets or even specific bar code things that you can shoot with your phone for instructions

Although the package says it fits the Stihl weed eaters, the bushing required (gold colored, part # V160000060 or 78890-11380 ) for some of the LH threaded machines is NOT included with the package.Nothing on the package would lead you to believe that you need to source this item from some place else. Even the instructions tell you what color bushing to use, its just not included.Very disappointed in that the 'universal' units is not so universal after all

Fits my FS90 trimmer using the green adapter. holds a lot of string and is easy to load. I had the smaller version head on my other seedeaters, so when I tried the stock Stihl head, I was very disappointed. Hard to load. The bump cap doesn't last that long because there is no metal insert so get a replacement cap when you order the head if you use it commercially. Otherwise, no complaints.

the first time I tried to install on my stihl 90 the green adaptor would not screw on the shaft so I decided to send it back but tried once more by starting a little backing off then tighten a little more after about 5 try's it finnaly went on so it will fit I think all or most stihl weed eaters I think the starting thread is a little rough I read other reviews that had the same problem but one review said that he done what I had done I tried that and it worked so keep trying and good luck o…

My weed eater is a shindaiwa brand with a 22.9cc engine. This head was supposed to fit it but it didn't even with all the adapters. I tried to get it to work on my friend's poulan that was the smaller engine and it did not work on his either. Best Buy issued a refund immediately but the head did not fit my weed eater.

Durable, fits many string trimmers, and easy to replace string.If you are too rough with it, it may fly apart and good luck finding all the parts. These parts are readily available from various sites.
