Metal parts make it more durable!

I like the metal construction of the stand, it's much stronger than the same mount I have. And with a detachable plate that can be used for round head products, it's a great buy.

Big improvement over the first version

I really like the new version of the mount, it's a big improvement, it feels more secure and flexible, I can grip the AD200 more securely and easily with no problems. If you already have the old version and you like it. You should try this new version and I promise you will love it.

Excellent quality, poor grip on the umbrella

While I appreciate the new quality improvement, replacing the screw with the spring (which holds the umbrella) leaves a lot to be desired. The grip stopped holding after about 3 sessions. It falls out and I have to climb 2 or 3 times mid-shoot. If you use them strictly for the studio and don't need to break your gear every day, this is perfect. But I would not advise for outdoor installation.
