How can they be too big and too small at the same time? The waist drops through the fabric and the shorts are open-legged like a swimsuit so everything hangs down.

Without a drawstring or stronger elastic, the shorts began to slide off my hips when I just pushed off the wall during a freestyle swim. Luckily I was able to quickly stop, pull her up and change. I will use them for inactive clothing.

These are very cute swim trunks, perfect for the pool and similar events. You can fold the top of the belt very easily if you need a bottom tan line. Not sure how it will hold up on the beach because the top of the strap folds easily. It doesn't fit snug enough for me to wear comfortably in the waves. If you just walk around it looks very nice.

I never know what boys shorts are going to be like. They even flatter my cyclist/runner hips. The upper has a wide waistband so it doesn't cut in and is very comfortable. The band reminds me of yoga pants. My only concern is how well they will hold up when diving into the pool or playing in the waves. If I was more confident that they would stay in place I would give 5 starts. Although for $18 it's very good.

I'm 5ft 5in and 115lbs. The small ones fitted perfectly around my waist and hips but were oddly loose in the crotch and too small/thin - I felt like if my legs were separated too far (like you 100% swim) the whole thing would Pool a bit visible if you know what I mean. Frog kicks are out of the question. high buttock-to-hip ratio.
