The shoes look good and are well made. If you like to wear shoes barefoot, be aware that the seams in these shoes pull the skin off your feet. Minus one star.

Sperry has been known for its high quality for many years and it still lives up to its reputation. The shoes are well made, comfortable and have good support. I'm usually reluctant to order shoes online but the sizes match up so I've ordered this shoe or similar a couple of times. The Halyard has the look of pumps with the comfort of sneakers. It's great for going to the hardware store or wearing khakis for everyday work.

As you'd expect from a Topsider pair, they offer good grip on slippery decks. Unfortunately, they don't do that for very long. I live aboard my boat and swim a lot so I wear deck shoes all the time which my pair have worn out in months. They also lack some padding, making them uncomfortable for long walks on concrete surfaces. But if you only wear them occasionally on your deck, they'll probably be fine.
