clogged? in kitchen and dining room

If you have a bottle that you want to store and need to remove the cork or if you are having trouble pouring, this device will help you to remove the cork. I had one a year ago and lost it and it was handy to find it again. It doesn't take much, but when you do it works great.

Pros
  • Tableware
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Must-have tool for wineware

When a wine cork falls apart in a wine bottle, this is a must-have tool! While I'll admit this only happens once or twice a year, it's invaluable for removing a damaged cork and preserving wine. A paper coffee filter, funnel and carafe or an empty wine bottle complete the operation! I have an old 3 wire device that still works great but I bought it for my kids who are more stylish than me! Great modern design, reasonable price! Buy what you end up needing!

Pros
  • Food & Entertainment
Cons
  • Disappear

Beware of older wines

In my experience, wines that are around 20 years old tend to have brittle corks. So I often break them when trying to remove them with an electric corkscrew. I've learned my lesson. But I've broken them even with more traditional (manual) devices. This device works wonders in pulling out the piece of cork you insert into the bottle and then preventing the wine from being poured. Big Tip: Use this device BEFORE you pour the wine! It's much easier when the piece is near the neck of the bottle.

Pros
  • Kitchen & Dining
Cons
  • Requires an outlet
