Once I had a good benefit from it

Had to sharpen mine when it got here. Not a big deal, but the "sharp" side needed some polishing to get the edge. Remember this should be a single beveled blade. Once I got a good head start, it worked exactly as I expected.

Pros
  • Annual probationary period
Cons
  • Negative impression

Needs some polishing but good for the price

Not used yet. I will paint and apply poly on the handles as they are unfinished wood. I know skinning blades aren't supposed to be sharp, but that's far too blunt. Like the reviews I read before buying. Once I put an edge on it it should work fine

Good tool for beginners

I am new to tanning and as I am a beginner I need cheap tools until I learn. It worked well. I did a sharper edge but for the price I'm happy with that. Don't be stupid like me and leave it out overnight after washing the blade at dawn. Yes, you guessed it, it has small rust spots. Still a good knife for BEGINNERS. If you want the best view elsewhere but for what it is it's 5 stars.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • So-so
