Keeps my husbands coffee hot all day! Plus, it fits into his classic Stanley lunch box lid when we remove the "mug" lid from the thermos. He is easy to clean because he only drinks black coffee and washes/washes him daily. This is a good buy.

This Stanley thermos is similar to the old ones your dad or grandpa used to have, but it doesn't hold the temperature as long. I pour hot water into it for half an hour before filling it with coffee and storing it in an insulated wine bag, but after 6 hours it's barely more than warm. I bought this thermos because I was disappointed that another brand couldn't keep my coffee hot. I don't think this thermos has a vacuum seal. I have an old Stanley thermos. . . 15 years old might be a large size. The old one keeps liquids hot for almost 9 hours. Sturdy, strong and durable construction, just like my large thermos and every other Stanley thermos I've owned. The painted, forged finish always seems to hold up fairly well on these Stanleys after being tossed in and out of trucks and four-wheelers on hunting trips.
