Why pay more for media separator

Purchased to separate cleaning media from brass. Cheaper than those sold for brass and media separation. Works perfectly.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • No performance

Large strainer for camping kitchen

I bought this to remove dirt from topsoil bags. It is well made and serves its purpose. Working a lot of topsoil is labor intensive and you need fairly dry, loamy or cloddy soil, making things difficult.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel

Ideal for hunting shark teeth!

I used it to find shark teeth with my son. For the price it was great. The holes were a bit large so smaller shark teeth were sometimes poked, but who needs tiny ones? Very strong and durable.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Chicken Coop Cleaning

We use this for our coop! The bottom of our coop and paddock is covered in sand, so we scoop up chicken manure, scoop into this pot, and shake out the sand before dumping the waste into a 5-gallon compost bin. That's great!

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • String is shorter than others

This classifier works fine for me.

Very strong, light and easy to handle, even with one hand. The holes are not too big and not too small for my project. So I'm very happy. Durability remains to be seen. Will be updated if something goes wrong.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Unfashionable

Great Stone/Pebble Sifter

Excellent pan for sifting rocks and other debris from a pile of dirt. Holes 1/4 inch just right. I wouldn't use 5 gallons for screening. I used the equivalent of a galvanized tub, which gave me enough room to shake the screen.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions

Great for waving cigarette butts? YUP!

Available I am on a property management team in an apartment building that needed a better solution for cleaning our 'cans'. We use small rocks (aka chicken groats) in these buckets and formerly used toilet scoops until I found this. It has enough capacity to fill 1-2 gallons of sand and if you're sitting on a 5 gallon bucket you can sift anything in under 60 seconds. The only complaint I have is that the strainer doesn't sit securely on my Home Depot Homer Bucket. It tends to move during…

Good for sifting charcoal from COLD fireplace ash

I like using charcoal and ash in my landscaping, but in general everyone has different needs. This sieve is perfect for separating the ashes in the fireplace/hearth into two parts when they have cooled naturally. Can't comment on durability yet as I've only had this strainer for a few months, but so far so good! Deducted a star because it fits the top of a 5 gallon bucket, although it's not *perfect* (it doesn't sit quite inside the rim of the bucket, just at the top - about the same size as…

The best cat litter cleaner

I have been using litter boxes for many years, use a kit and carry with all litter boxes (about 12-15) cleaned 1-2 times a day. This method works very well, but working with a set of screens can be awkward as they are large and rectangular. I chose this Stansport screen and two small TubTrugs and it's a fantastic system. Perfect for a bucket, the screen works like magic with a variety of fillers, from sandy clay grains to corn/wheat granules. Use one bucket for decanting waste and the other…
