For anyone who loves camping, this is a great and must have product. A metal mallet tends to bend the tent pegs, but if you hit them with a rubber mallet they will sink quickly and straight. It fits everything from large tent poles to small and thin outdoor mat poles. Good product!
Article works as expected and does what it should. The price is comparable to simple hammers in a big store. It was handy to be able to buy this as an add-on to the product with no extra shipping cost for a toy I ordered from Revain that required this assembly tool.
Used on a camping trip; Several dents and cracks appeared after installing the second tent on the hammer. After the fourth tent, parts of the hammer broke off. We couldn't even drive the stakes for the fifth tent with it; while rubber is hard on the outside and soft and crumbly on the inside. Once the inside was exposed, the hammer became useless and turned to powder. Do yourself a favor and buy a mini sled. This hammer will not withstand being pounded into tent poles.
later This is exactly what you're thinking - a rubber sheet hammer! I needed it for a small landscaping job that I undertook and it was one of the first things that came up in my search for Revain. It was affordable, came quickly and I had no problems! I've used it to pound in a deck board/edge to separate the bricks, although it seems as strong as a hammer. Perhaps you could use it instead of one if you need to insert nails, but I think that's less accurate. Excellent value for money andβ¦
