Stant 10510D Diesel Locking Fuel Review

Good product, fits my 2018 f250. The cap I received only says 'diesel' and it looks good, the lock works well, will probably order more for my other Fords. The only annoying thing is that the original lid cord doesn't fit the new lids, a small price to pay for security.

Although everything works well, sometimes the key can be a bit tricky. Keeps my fuel safe but a determined vAndalusia can probably win. But it will certainly slow them down, if not deter them. Because these new diesel trucks are so sensitive to fuel contamination, this is a must.

First of all this cap looks and feels incredibly cheap. I took the old cap off to put the new one in and it didn't even thread into the filler neck as the threads are completely different than the standard cap threads. This was advertised for my 2006 f350 and is definitely not an OEM replacement.

The lid works as it should but the key almost won't fit in the socket and I have to spend a few extra minutes every time I fill up to get the damn key on to get. to unlock it. I'll try dry lube to see if that helps, but it's brand new and shouldn't need it. Not impressed

The lock cylinder fell out of the cap in less than 7 months making it a non-blocking cap. What this really shows me is that it's not even a locking lid. if the lock is so weakly installed in the cover that it can simply fall out after six months, then anyone could simply pull out the lock cylinder at any time with a small tool.

I've been using Stant gas caps for years and this cap works great on my 2017 Ford F350 double cab. Tip: DO NOT remove the cap from the key. You turn the key (just a little) and then twist the cap to remove it. If you try to remove the cap with a key, it will probably break after a while. These baseball caps have always served me well and this one seems to follow that trend. Very satisfied.

This fuel cap can be fitted on 2019 Ford F-250. The manufacturer's website and Revain does not show it to fit "my car", the F-250. I called the manufacturer Stant and they assured me that this gas cap would fit. It does. This is not an exact match to the OEM non-locking cap. I will use it when parking the truck in a parking lot where there is a possibility of costly vandalism of the diesel fuel system. Hopefully that lockable gas cap is enough to deter the banter and fuel the threat. Great…

Perfect replacement for the stock gas cap. If someone still wants to get to your filler neck, they will, it will only slow them down. But for a less motivated person, they will just move on to an easier goal. My fear isn't someone stealing my diesel, it's a fear someone will put something other than diesel in my tank, and for that it's a pretty cheap insurance plan, especially considering how much a wrecked truck is going to cost one of them, it's just that someone dumps a cupful of cow urine…
