I have purchased several types/brands of doorbells (both battery chime and plug-in chime) that have "advertised" long distance - 150 feet or greater- that have not performed well. Stopped working after 2 months, so I check the batteries.Yep, batteries are dead already but 1 of the springs has detached itself (see picture).long story but final answer from Sado is that since it's over 30 days old I have to pay $4.95 for shipping of a new one.I guess it's my fault that they made a piece of junk.Buyer Beware!

When I received it, it did not work. I contacted Ebay and I had a shipping label and had it back in the mail that same day. I reordered a replacement that same day and received it in just a few days. The second one works as it should. (I had also contacted Sado Tech the day I received the broken one. They have kept in touch making sure I received the new one and was happy with it.)

It took 4 tries to get this to pair with my Sadotech doorbell. Even though my doorbell is used maybe 3 times a month, no matter what type or brand of batteries I put in them I am lucky if they last 6 weeks.

Battery operated doorbell went haywire in less than a year. All of the other pieces seem to be working fine. Thanks for attention.

this product is easy to install and setup to the tone you desire. I bought and extra transmitter and receiver so I would know the difference between a back door ring and a front door ring.

this is a replacement for the original auxiliary ringer that came with the main ringer. Connected well and works perfectly

I bought two of these. They go through batteries fairly quickly. I have to replace the batteries about every other month. The doorbells get rung maybe once during that time. I gave the highest rating because, over a year after I purchased these units, both of them quit working. I contacted Sado Tech and they replaced both units! I am impressed by Sado Tech.

It probably has been rung less time than the original set I purchased and I had to replace all 3 batteries. If they aren't going to last longer that a few weeks I will not keep it.

This doorbell eats batteries constantly, even though my doorbell is rung very infrequently,less often than once a day. I must have spent the equivalent of the price of the doorbell for batteries. Now the unit is totally dead after just about a year. I would not recommend this product.

When it works, it's great, but it doesn't always work which is really annoying to not only me and my co-workers, but to our FedEx and UPS drivers, Yes, we've changed the batteries, and no we're not too far away.

Needed a replacement doorbell. Barely ever gets used so did not want to spend too much money. This was a great easy set up for that type of situation.

Poor distance covered. Chime would work one or two times then stop working. Each time would have to repair and go through the same process.

While installation was easy battery life is 2 months. Unacceptable! I recorded this multiple times. All with alkaline batteries. Buyer beware!

May sound funny, but I was excited about this doorbell. I mean c'mon, it's a DOORBELL! But, I am very happy with this product. Easy setup, and it's expandable. I bought an additional battery-powered receiver that I use as a mobile device, for when I'm out in my workshop or yard somewhere. 52 tones you can change for seasons or events. Great product so far.

I bought this because the old wired doorbell apparently shorted and started smoking. Disconnected it but left it in place for aesthetic reasons. Besides, I didn’t like smoke.The bell tones (there are a bunch of different ones to choose from) are shorter and sound much better than the cheaper version. I keep it on my desk on the loft in our home and can hear it even without my hearing aids.I had difficulty inserting the three AAA batteries (not supplied) because I could not pry open the battery…

Eats batteries. I have to replace the batteries every week, that is ridiculous. I have tried name brand batteries with junk batteries and they are dead in a week. Totally wasted money on this purchase. Stay away unless you want to buy new batteries all the time for it.
