Specs wrong but well done

I have wall space for a rack that's a little over 30" vertical so I bought a 15U which says 30". I calculated that 15U would be 26-1/4" vertical, so 30" made sense. I even double-checked the downloaded installation manual and it said 30 inches.โ€ To my surprise, however, after assembly it was 30-1/2 inches. This is a significant difference for me, but not for most of you. I sent it back and ordered 12U. It's all StarTech's fault, but Revain gets it right. I hope he survives. Returned as allโ€ฆ

Sturdy and works well

I put this together and maximized the depth for my installation solution. I haven't wanted to wall mount it yet as it would then become a permanent part of my house and I plan on moving in a year or so. Either way, this works great and holds ups, NAS, switches, gateways, etc. with no issues. It even comes with plenty of M6 screws and cage nuts. If you don't want to hang it yet (the brackets are included with the sale), I just grabbed a 2" x 2" piece of plywood from the project area. hardwareโ€ฆ

Reliable, well built and versatile

Excellent features. It holds up well with no visible sagging. Notes: Only 16 nuts and bolts are included. If you are mounting multiple devices, you will need to purchase additional nuts/bolts separately. This can be seen as a scam. This was the first rack I bought myself, so I didn't have any extra gear. โ€” It's not listed, but the nuts on the carriage bolts were 10mm, like mine. You'll need a deep head (or a lot of time) to tighten them effectively. - If you install it yourself, remove theโ€ฆ
