It works, but the computer loses the monitor when switching.

Unfortunately there are quite a few DisplayPort KVM options these days and this one works but has one very annoying downside: no display emulation. Other KVMs, such as Some devices, such as IOGear's DVI options, support display emulation, which makes the computer think the monitor is still there when you switch ports on the KVM. Without display emulation, your computer will behave as if the monitor is off every time you switch to another computer. It's not the end of the world, but it causes a…

KVM works, but it's not perfect.

where do I start. This product is not suitable for those who have a decent system. First I needed the supported resolution of 3440 x 1440 60Hz. KVM works but it's not perfect. I've tried this with both my 34 inch ultra wide curved monitor and my standard 24 inch 1920 x 1200 monitor. Kvm switches so slowly that my monitor turns off between 3-6 seconds and about a third of the time due to not getting video input to stay awake. The other issue seems to be that when switching from one desktop to…

2560 x 1440. So far so good

Ordered as an emergency solution. I have a Mac display that I want to use with three computers (Mac, work, and personal). Based on two reviews I wasn't sure but it was the only option. Well, to my great surprise, it works perfectly. As with all KVMs, USB is a bit tricky, but hub sharing works on everything but the old Windows XP machine I use for work. The picture is perfect and at full resolution 2560x1440. If you need such a solution, StarTech seems to have fixed the resolution issue as it…

Using a Dell U2713HM at 2560x1440@60Hz and I couldn't be happier

This is the second KVM I've tried, the first was Kanex SnapX and it wasn't overly reliable. Kanex sometimes gave noise on the picture and disconnected. I was very happy to see the full picture without any interruptions from this thing. The keyboard macros are amazing too, I can press ctrl+ctrl+1 to connect to port 1 and so on, which is great because I can keep the KVM out of sight and never have to press the buttons on its front panel. So far I've used this with a Mac Mini, a PC with a GTX970…

The product works as advertised. The only problem.

Product works as advertised. The only downside is that it doesn't support EDID cloning for sources that aren't currently selected. Since it's DISplayPort, that means sources believe the display will turn off entirely when it's switched. I won't count this against the product as it never claimed to get EDID cloning support.

Good value for money. Works as promised.

As advertised. I have a 23" DELL touchscreen and a few USB peripherals that I share between 3 computers. They all work fine for the most part. I had some trouble getting my HP printer to work when connected via USB through a switch, but I just connected it to Wi-Fi and moved it around. I didn't fix it properly and had other issues connecting to my printer so I'm not sure if the switch had anything to do with it. The hotkeys work, but I have a feeling that this could be because I have a Logitech

Works in fully declared resolution.

Unlike some other browsers, I had no problems with 2560 x 1600 at 60 Hz when switching between Mac, Windows machine and Linux system. (Maybe StarTech fixed this issue since they were posted?) I have keyboard issues from time to time as someone said but only a few times a week or so. The biggest downside is the lack of display emulation, which causes the Mac to shuffle windows every time you switch. It's annoying, but not worth paying double for a switch with this feature.

Don't miss out on high definition video.

(4 DisplayPort Model Test) This device only displayed 1024 x 768 which was disappointing. The other reviewers here don't seem to have a problem getting 3440x1440 or 4K images through this box, so I'm curious as to why I couldn't get the same results. For some reason it didn't get an accurate idea of what monitor it was connected to, so the resolution for all connected computers got stuck at a very poor, low resolution. And the USB passthrough didn't work with my Logitech wireless mouse and…
