Might be standard

This is a tool for when you want to crush explosives before they hit the microphone. Outstanding quality and reliability, as well as a unique airflow redirection technology that does not affect or attenuate the sound passing through it. Can be cheaper. Yes. But if you care about the quality of the source, you will eventually update it. If you're smart, start with it.

Pros
  • Rugged finish
Cons
  • So far so good

persistent? Yes. on accessories

This thing is beautifully made. It feels like it's about business. However, I am always afraid that someone will bend it. Much more paranoia than having a cheap pop filter. Nice that I can clean the pop filter. Aside from being handy, the explosive "r" sound has an unnatural hiss when it hits the screen. this item when used as intended. It basically sounds like you're making a "p" sound on a metal grille (which isn't at all surprising).

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Time saver Editing is good for accessories

I've never been forced to do a product review *off the line* on Revain. That is different. I spent hours editing the plosives, pops and clicks of my previous cloth pop filter. One night I got so upset while editing that I bought this product out of anger in the heat of the moment. Now - hearing the difference - it's amazing. I'll probably spend at least an hour less editing time tonight because of this filter swinging the air control around the mic. Reliable product.

Pros
  • Very profitable
Cons
  • Some little things

Equipment required: microphones and accessories

I have 2 of these and I wouldn't record without them. I've used cheaper ones, but they're not that reliable for getting rid of explosives. It doesn't let anything you don't want into the mic, but it doesn't change the character of the voice/sound coming into the mic. Buy it. A note on customer service: I broke my windshield and needed a replacement. The company sent me a new one for a VERY small 1/5 of the original price and just told me to send them payment when I got it! How neat?!

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • I have no particular complaints about it, everything is fine

Perfect! but not for the price

the filter works fine, the hand is excellent. It would be cool if you could separate the head filter from the sleeve, like the Nady Pop nylon pop filter, so you can only change the head when the filter is changed. Overall not bad but frankly overpriced. for what it is. Stars because it comes in a box that doesn't close the front of the box! It could be damage in transit with other items etc. It would also be great to have some sort of dust cover for the head filter or a small case to protect…

Missing Part - Unusable UPDATE: Replacement is PERFECT!

Two stars because I received my order quickly and the parts I received appear to be solid but seem to be missing a screw that secures the gooseneck to the bracket. replacement ordered. We will contact you as soon as you receive a replacement. UPDATE: Three days later. Five stars. I received a replacement which is in perfect condition (the first pop filter I received was missing a nut). This is a great pop filter, not only does it work great, but I can see THROUGH the filter on my copy! No odd…

Taking it a step further than pantyhose pop filters

Listening to my test recordings on my dyno, I could immediately tell the purity of the Stedman from your regular nylon pop filters that I've been using for years. Haven't used it in my main studio gear yet but already know it will be an improvement. I really like the strength of the clip and the gooseneck. I also like that you can see the microphone capsule better, which leads to better placement. I think this will be the last pop filter I will need for a few years as it is washable. The only…

Metal screen is not strong enough

First off, let me say that I liked this pop screen. First, the screen is metal, which means it's easy to clean and dry. Super handy when singers spit all over the place, or even when it just smells like morning breath. Christ. Second, the gooseneck is pretty strong. Also great mic stand mount. There is a rubber cam where it touches the stand to keep it from scratching the mic stand. My ONLY issue, and it's a huge one, is that the screen is very curved. The seal around the screen is made of…
