They are ideal as a Christmas window decoration and are inexpensive. I'm not sure how durable the battery compartment moves into the candle when switching on and off on some of them. Looks great both inside and outside the house. I wish it wasn't flavored. Fake fragrances are just overkill, and many of them are allergenic, no matter how subtle.

Sorry to those who "love" it, but there are NO REAL candles that flicker like this. It's distracting to have in the room! It's no different when someone is standing in the corner, turning the flashlight on and off in low light while you're trying to watch TV or read a book. It's not enough to brighten up a room by the ton, but you can definitely see it in your peripheral vision. I would just like a constant glow.

I got this because of the timer. You turn it on at the right time, and every night after that, it automatically turns on at that time and stays on for five hours, then automatically turns off. If you want to change the light-on time, it's as simple as turning off the candle and then turning it back on at the new desired time. Thanks to the timer, I remember to turn off the candle and drain the batteries. like I have with other flameless candles. Batteries last for months!

Very realistic flickering candle. This vanilla had the shade of candle wax I needed. I'm not a fan of vanilla, but they don't smell strong at all. I like the idea of a timer, but wish it was an 8 hour or customizable rather than a 5 hour timer as I use them in my office and am deducting a star for the 5 hour limit.
