It's tinned so it's easy to solder and shouldn't rust/tarnish with years of sitting on your desk. I use this cable for electronic projects for my model railway. It has good electrical properties, the silicone insulation easily attaches to wire and strip. Pre-tinning makes soldering a pleasure.
