good wire. The box is unusable.

Cable appears to be of good quality. It has small filaments and silicone insulation so it's very flexible. It's tinned so it's easy to solder and shouldn't rust/tarnish with years of sitting on your desk. The only flaws I see are: 1) The colors are very faded. 2) The spools are too small to prevent the wire from unwinding. This renders the box unusable as the wire gets tangled around the dowel in the middle. I threw the box away and used rubber bands to hold the wire on the spools. The cable…

Strip, solder, bend like in a dream

Where has this stuff been all my life? I used to be afraid to remake old copper or cheap wire. You know the ones that can keep the shape of your packaging. Those that appear to be hydrophobic are even soldered with flux. The ones where when you try to pull the sheath off, the wire breaks inside and comes off with the sheath, leaving you with an even shorter wire. It is like a dream! Use your fingernail to strip the wire. Lubricate the shell with a hot soldering tip, no problem. It does not burn

Pros
  • That's great
Cons
  • Repair

Buying electronics on the gray market is a godsend these days. I find it particularly bad with wire. Either the specifications are wrong or the material is of poor quality (e.g. contaminated copper). With this connection wire you get a silicone jacket with an outer diameter of 2.1 mm, which holds well and has good flex properties. The conductor is 1.08mm thick which is 18 AWG (18 gauge = 1.02mm) and the stranded core looks like decent quality tinned copper. I made sure it was copper by scraping

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Stockable

Large cable set - don't expect anything from the packaging

I ordered a 22 AWG Red Blue Green Yellow Black kit which was shipped from Revain and sold by Stereday late January 2021. This is excellent value for a set of connection cables. The price is basically ordering from China directly through AliExpress, which we don't have two days delivery time to USA. As other reviews have said, the red is definitely more orange than the standard red wire, but not enough not to be confused with orange in my opinion. If for any reason it needs to be 100% matched to

Wise Use Tips

These are high quality silicone insulated wires. The description states that the maximum temperature is only 150°C, but in fact the wires read 200°C. This is important as they don't burn up when soldered like the cheaper PVC insulation. These wires are best for soldering on breadboards - they're flexible, low resistance, and have unburned insulation. The offer is good too. Do not confuse this kit with the cheaper PVC insulation kit. This is important as they don't burn up when soldered like the

This cable is great - no box

I use this cable for electronic projects for my model railway. It has good electrical properties, the silicone insulation easily attaches to wire and strip. Pre-tinning makes soldering a pleasure. I'm very happy with it and will buy more when it runs out. I give 5 stars for the cable itself. The box is another matter, but it doesn't detract from the rating of the cable. You must state "assembly required" in your ad. You will need to remove each coil to untie the knot on the wire so that they…
