Do you need it to be white? it's not like this. Yes, it's white, but if you put it on something like a piece of white paper, it will be several shades of white. Do you know when you go to buy white paint and there are 100 different colors of white paint? I would call that the manufacturer's idea of white.

They worked great when we upgraded our recessed lighting to LED lights. There were marks on the ceiling from some old built in light bulbs as well as some plumbing products - these rings worked great. The matte finish matched the new modified LED lights. Just need a small ruler to make sure it's centered.

Perfect. We had to replace the old lights with new LEDs with spring clips. The new lanterns were about 1/2-3/4 inches smaller than the existing holes they cut for the can lanterns and those rings saved the day! They also match very well and look like they are part of an LED light. You could probably draw them to add some contrast or something, but we didn't have much time so it wasn't possible for us.

I have Sunco GR56 rings for use with the retrofit kit (Utilitech dimmable white light equals 65w) but these rings will also work with other retrofit kits depending on dimensions required and etc. Handy flat plastic rings, no hem or any fancy design accents. Compared to more expensive branded rings like the HALO OT403P, these Sunco rings are heavier/thicker and also have a slightly larger external dimension.

When I switched the overhead lighting from fluorescent to LED, I tore out a piece of drywall. I use them as a quick fix, but they are so thick and heavy that the new LED lights can't sit flush. These rings increase the weight of the lamp, causing it to fall from the ceiling. Also note that they are a matte color and the finish of my ceiling lights is glossy so they don't match very well. I used glue to secure them and hopefully nobody will notice the color variation.
