Rough Feel Blades

These are made by Lord in Egypt who also make Shark Blades, Lord (of course) and a few other brands of blades. I have used other Lord blades such as the Big Ben brand and they have given me a much better shave. Unfortunately, these Asco blades were very rough, as if they had micro-serrations on their edges. Even in my soft rimei razor, they left a scratchy feeling on my skin and tended to skip even after using a pre-shave oil, although I didn't bleed with it. I wanted to like them because they…

Asco hot! - Cartridges and refills

Wow! I didn't expect them to be sharp, I shaved with a Razorine and this blade turned out to be sharp, sharper than a Shark SS or Chrome. Near Astra sharp. I'm a fan of the Lord blade line, but personally I prefer the Supermax Blue Diamond blades or the Rapira line. I bought these for my sons who are looking for a shave and I lined them up with the Lord line of blades I started with, but these Ascos surprised me and I'll do it again with a less aggressive razor try i could leave them for my…

  • Beautifully built

GREAT BLADE FOR THE PRICE

I bought several of these blades when buying a razor. I tried them and got 5 BBS razors off the blade. The shave with this blade was smooth. A 7 cent blade is a lot in my opinion.

Pros
  • test for a year
Cons
  • too boring

Worst Lord Blade I've ever tried

I liked Cold Lords and Platinum Lords. This particular Lord Blades brand is the worst in my range. I got about three hits while shaving and threw away all five packs 3/10

Pros
  • Always liked
Cons
  • Factor Set

Like a standing razor

I bought them with a box of Asters. They are made by the same company as Sharks which I used. Feeling as if you are dragging a rake across your face. If you look at the sharpened blade through a magnifying glass, the blade is roughly ground and not honed to a luster like the Astra.

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • No

Sharp enough to cut hair but not too hard to irritate skin.

Great blades for my sensitive Caucasian skin. I have tried many blades and they are associated with Rapira Swedish Super Steel and are my absolute favourites. I find these Ascos a bit spicier than the Swedish Super Steels, but don't irritate them even though they are spicier. I also like Shark Super Steel to make a difference and these Ascos definitely feel a bit sharper than the Shark from the same manufacturer (Lord Blades). Basically these Ascos are the sharpest blades I can use without…

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • Easy maintenance
