This sleeping bag consists of a layer of muslin and is designed for rather warm temperatures. We have it for the summer months when it can get quite warm overnight. It survived the first wash, dryer and overnight use. The texture of the fabric changed after the first wash (as to be expected with such a muslin fabric) but did not shrink. This sleeping bag is great for what I need it for. I live in an area that gets very hot in the summer, so my son's pajamas and more traditional nightwear were too hot for him. This sleeping bag is SUPER light and breathable. However, it probably won't keep your baby warm, so it can probably be worn with thick pajamas if you live in a cooler climate.
