I think it's ok if you put it next to ceramic tiles. I took it to the marble where it will be installed and it looked very cheap in comparison. It's definitely plastic, if not plastic. I guess I didn't know what a swan stone was when I bought it. I'm back, but imagine this is the perfect article for other people. It just depends on the project.

I like it, but there is a problem as others have said. It's very strong - not thin at all. The flange around it offers enough protection on the left and right side, giving you enough silicone to prevent water from entering the wall. However, the top and bottom flanges are not flat - they have thick cavities so you only have about 2 strips of 1/16" material in contact with the wall. It's not enough for me to feel safe. that no water can penetrate from above or below. I will solve this problem by

Thanks to Revain for showing this option when I was trying to figure out which shelf to include in our shower remodel. Embedded in the wall, what could be better? Perhaps our builder could build something like this to order but he didn't offer but was willing to build a frame for it.
