Very quiet and comfortable but more squeaky than regular Durocks

I used to order normal Durocs and now these Silents. They have a great soft feel without being fluffy and are definitely low in bulk. My only disappointment was that they felt more scratchy than regular Durocs. I have clear white for mufflers and smoky gray for regular ones. Perhaps this color choice is important for a reason; I'm just throwing out the guesswork. Either way, it's not a big deal, and overall it's a good switch.

Pros
  • 2. Durock Quiet Key Switch with translucent smoke colored polymer nylon on the underside of the body and shank 19-4052 Classic Blue POM.
Cons
  • Expensive

Slightly overpriced

At the price I paid for these you would expect them to be stock. But in reality they are not that good, to get the best out of them and to be really quiet they need to be lubricated. What worked for me was using super lube oil and running the lube through the top case. But as standard, since the switches are muted, you hear the clatter of parts and it's just annoying. Once you lubricate the switches, the rattling goes away and the switches are very quiet. They're pretty slim too, but then…

Pros
  • 5. LED styles available are SMD and Solid. 1 pack contains 20 Daybreak switches.
Cons
  • No automatic

Smooth and tasty from the start

Slightly more expensive than usual. You get a labeled, resealable bag of twenty switches in a hard box, which I find gives pretty good shipping protection. Look at the photos. I only needed silent switches to create a cozy atmosphere for working and relaxing at home. These aren't as quiet as I expected, but they're worth the money: a nice sound profile and a delightful feel under your fingers to the point where you feel like you're being massaged as you type (with proper touch- typing that is).

Pros
  • 3. Lower force 67g Gold-plated spring and linear metal sheet, gold contacts.
Cons
  • So far so good
