I was building a negative copy table so I bought this unit. It is as advertised and bright but the LED lines are visible through the diffuser in my application. It's a little low for the negative media I use. I bought a 6" x 9" panel which is the perfect size and the LED lines are not visible through the diffuser. This works well as a light source for regular photography, but for copying spend another $10 and get a better unit.

I was surprised to see that the LEDs were on the edges and facing inwards as the description didn't mention it. (The TV specs say "Edge-lit".) It takes a lot of small knob turns to change the brightness, which annoys me. The NP-F battery in the package has been damaged, so it will be sent for recycling immediately. I'll probably use it as an occasional close-up supplemental light, not a photo/video light. I don't consider it part of my set.

Oh my god! This thing is amazing! It's easy to use, easy to install, easy to clean, the battery lasts forever! I used it for a photo shoot to add extra light with other LED bulbs and it filled in the gaps perfectly. He sits so well next to my camera that sometimes I forget he's there.
