💡 Sylvania 14500 50PAR20 Halogen Narrow Beam Angle Review

Good projector lamps of this type are hard to find. They provide a strong white narrow field of illumination and I have used them to make reading lamps for myself and my wife. Works well! Problem: A bulb didn't make it through shipping due to poor packaging - the bulbs were individually wrapped in bubble wrap but were loose in a large box and rattled as the box had been carelessly handled during shipping.

Good narrow light but sometimes it just glows red when turned on. When I turn it off and on again, it glows white as expected. The only reason I could find online was that it could be caused by socket corrosion. I have cleaned and lubricated my (outside) socket with no change. This is a halogen bulb, which is probably different from non-halogen bulbs. I use it to light my flag. Works great when it's white. (I use an X10 wall switch to power this lamp.)

Replacement bulb for Broan Allure hood. This replaced the ge bulbs that were in the original unit. With 10 degrees of light spread, finding the right size was very difficult. The price was quite high, but if it lasts as long as the original then I'll be happy. To update. 1 out of 2 lightbulbs did not work properly. Sometimes it didn't work.
