This was a great purchase for what I needed. I was hesitant due to bad reviews stating it was only played for a few days before it broke. That wasn't true for me at all. The sound quality is not very good. It's a little tinny. However, I got around this by placing one speaker against the wall instead of having both speakers facing outwards. I'm no acoustics expert, but this seems to have worked. I use my CD player in the kitchen to listen to music while I cook dinner. I don't have fancy phones…

Really nice device, not purple-blue but dark turquoise, but still pretty. The problem is that the tuner is touch-only, meaning you dial a number, but there's no way to measure/see which stations you're approaching, you just have to listen. However I would keep it but the CD player doesn't work at all and I was using old CDs that weren't in MP3 format.
