synctool is a configuration management tool for working with clusters of computers. synctool copies configuration files to groups of machines in your cluster based on what groups (or classes) they are in. By doing so, it keeps the configuration on that group of machines synchronized (or, "in sync").
The best thing about this software is its simplicity. I use it for my personal projects and for work. It's very easy to use and has an intuitive interface. There isn't much to dislike about this program. I have used other similar programs but Synctool was the easiest to learn and implement.
I would recommend using this if you need a simple way to keep your configurations in sync between multiple computers. This makes it easier to setup new computers or laptops and keep them up to date with all…

You can also build custom scripts within certain applications so there really aren’t any downsides at least not ones i've discovered yet.! :)
It helps me solve problems related to config synchronization between servers. I don't really like the UI but there's plenty of workarounds if you know how to code! The project has been developed very fast. And the community support is great too. For example, we solved our problem by writing our own implementation of an algorithm that was part of the standard library.
This made us use more time than needed to implement this feature. We really need to improve the documentation at some point as…
Very easy install, very light weight program which makes it easier to handle from our end as we do not have much IT knowledge or experience at all. I think there should be more tutorials available online about how this software works because its way too difficult sometimes when you're stuck between different options while trying to solve an issue. It was great having one place where we could store configurations and easily update them across multiple environments without any issues.

Synchronization tools are simple but effective in solving problems related with connectivity (e2v) that is always tough if server has been shut down due network connection failure.
