Description of Optimize Engine Performance with π§ Tappet Adjustment Chrome Vanadium Timing Tool
The hand tool allows micro adjustment without disturbing the locknut which can be tightened when the correct clearance is achieved. Knurled handle to ensure a secure grip. Use a 12mm wrench to hold the locknut socket while using square type driver to loosen or tighten the valve adjustment screw. 8, 9mm locknut sockets and 3mm square type driver included. Fits most motorcycles and ATVs with screw-type tappet adjustments.
I ordered this to adjust the valves on a GY6 quad. Space was very tight and I couldn't use the outlet, but the handle helped a lot by holding the valve while I tightened the nut with a wrench. The job is done and I hope it will serve me well in future positions.
I give 5 stars for that. These are real tools, I get these engines every once in a while (I work on everything), the valves need to be adjusted depending on where the engine is, lawn mower etc and they are hard to get to. I hope I get at least one application. Maybe I bought it because the last thing I did was on the Exmark motor turned sideways, that was brutal. so i will see. but the tools in the hands feel solid. all i can say now
No. The bushings are too tall, along with the tappet adjuster, so rocker-access engines will not fit in the tight space next to the frame or other obstruction. The heads are 8mm and 9mm, but they don't fit any of my bikes that use rockers. Okay, we'll just use the push rod regulator part. No, too high (only fits on the exhaust side where the frame isn't that tight). So back to the old two wrench method, which is still faster than messing around with this thing that probably won't work for youβ¦
