I find the iPad itself difficult. A case won't help, but it will protect your investment. This is the second one I've bought. The first broke down over time, but served for several years. (Nothing lasts forever; I'm not dissatisfied with Targus. It's a good brand.)

If I couldn't specify the materials I would give this lid a 99 out of 100. However, this lid uses the most brittle plastic I've ever seen. how he holds the iPad. But after a week, chips in the corners broke off. 1 broken corner was enough for 2 weeks so that he couldn't "hold" the iPad for long. eventually a crack (1 inch long) formed next to one of the chips. We love it. Simply no frills. But gets the job done. The first lasted almost three years in the hands of the baby. We have ordered another one.

I really like how light it is compared to my other leather bound case. It works just like Apple cases. I just wish the plastic backing was a little more durable. One corner broke not from any falls, just from the fact that I was trying to remove it. Apart from that 1 minus, everything about it is amazing.

Availability If you are specifically looking for the magnetic closure feature, this case will NOT work! There is no magnet on the edge of the lid. Still, a good case at a good price.
