Wait, the extra ports are USB 1.1 only?

Yes they are. So I put my mouse in one of them and it works great. The mouse and numeric keypad come out of the bag together and plug into just one USB port. If I'm serious enough about the current project to pull out the numeric keypad, rest assured I'll be using a mouse too. I have one port left on this thing that I can use for something else.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Some bugs

Great for teachers - computers and supplies

Bought this for my wife (maths teacher). She uses it to enter notes and the like. This is the second one we have. The dog ate the first one. Works with both laptops. Just plug and play on Windows XP and Windows 7. We haven't tried this on our Windows 8 laptop but I'd be surprised if there was a problem. Good enough for everyday use. Not too heavy and doesn't seem to mind dropping from her lap to the floor from time to time. Inexpensive enough that you won't cry when it's time to replace it.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Too long to wait

Two birds with one stone.

Truly the best mini USB keyboard on the market. Targus makes an alternative without the triple 0 key, and to be honest the quality is half as good as this one. I've used an alternative Targus keyboard (AKP10US) only to find that it doesn't have the same level of quality and durability as this one. OK. Last but not least, I love that this particular model also includes a USB hub. Two birds with one stone, so to speak. :)

Pros
  • Well made
Cons
  • Bad experience

A simple problem is a perfect solution.

The simplicity of this product is its strength. It does exactly what you would expect - nothing more, nothing less. My laptop doesn't have a numeric keypad and I didn't like the "latency" of the Bluetooth numeric keypad, so I decided to give it a try. It also has a native USB port. So if you already use a wired mouse, you can use it without sacrificing additional ports. It doesn't weigh anything, but the keys feel "solid". Best of all, it includes the button that we've all wanted to press from…

Works well, USB ports - USB 1.1.

I had one of these, it was about 10 years old but after 10 years in my computer bag it wore out. I bought these because they no longer sell them at Walmart. Revain's display says the USB ports are USB 2.0, but my computer says it's USB 1.1. A full-size USB mouse or keyboard works great with these connectors, but transferring data to a flash drive or external hard drive will take longer. Ergonomics gets three stars because the triple zero button is kind of stupid, it should be double zero. I…

USB keyboard makes my laptop number handy

I've always had trouble entering numbers on my 15 inch laptop using the Shift key for the Plus, Multiply, Minus and Divide keys. My next laptop will be 17 inch just to get a number pad. The Targus USB keyboard has big keys and has everything I need and now I can type math and numbers into Quicken and into my spreadsheets. The keyboard feels nice and looks even better. The only issue I've noticed is with one of the extra features. Because the keyboard itself occupies one of the valuable USB…

  • Absolutely amazing!

Best available

I'm pretty happy with that. I bought it because my new ergonomic keyboard at work doesn't have 10 keys which was driving me insane. The keys aren't all that different from my regular keyboard, although they do require a bit more care when pressing. I missed the numbers on the first or second day. It's the fourth day and now that I've gotten used to it, everything suits me. USB hubs aren't fantastic. I tried plugging in my iPhone charger and got an error saying the device isn't powerful enough…

Not quite ready for Vista!

I bought this keyboard for my HP Pavilion DV6675US 15.4" entertainment laptop (Intel Core 2 Duo T7250, 4 GB RAM, 250 HDD, Vista Ultimate) because I use a lot of engineering software and excel but i was deeply disappointed the first time i plugged in a device that was supposed to be vista capable.tried to find drivers for this device but they are NOT there.i have written to targus support and they weren't very helpful they asked me to try again and again by deleting the device from the device…
