Description of TCL XRGT78 NXTWEAR Air Glasses (Personal wearable monitor)

Stylish movie screen in your glasses! TCL Nxtwear Air offers the equivalent of a 140-inch display viewed from a distance of 4m. The field of view of the virtual display is 47 degrees. This is made possible by a pair of 1080p Micro OLED displays. The displays operate at 60 Hz and support stereoscopic output. In addition, the glasses come with two interchangeable lenses. And you don''t need to bring headphones as the glasses have two built-in speakers. Simply connect the glasses to a device that supports DisplayPort via USB-C. You can use them as a personal portable monitor for work, a large display for video streaming, or (with the appropriate Bluetooth controller) for gaming. The glasses have an accelerometer and a gyroscope that detects movements in three directions.

The product had to be returned after a short test. My New Year's gift to my brother failed miserably 😔 I wanted to make a surprise, but when I put it on and didn't see the bottom of the image, I had to show it to my brother and give it for testing. He saw the whole picture, he was lucky, but after a little use of the device, we decided that it was not yet ready to fully use it and leave it. And even more so for the money. Thanks to the manufacturer for his brilliant invention, but we are…

Pros
  • An unusual novelty, there really is a feeling that you are watching a big TV. And he is with you wherever you go or turn your head! It is very easy and quick to connect, does not depend on the battery, it simply does not exist inside, it receives power from the connected device.
Cons
  • Alas, the reality turned out to be completely different from what was expected and said in the reviews . The device is very "raw". Main problems: 1. One person does not see 20% of the picture - it is shifted down from the top. That is, 20% of the bottom of the picture is simply not there. The second person sees the picture correctly - that is, the glasses depend on the physiology of the human head . 2. The upper corners are blurry, the image is not clear, you have to move the glasses to focus the image. 3. When putting on the glasses again, the eyes do not immediately focus on the image, it takes some time to get used to. 4. The battery of the phone is very low, provided that I have a new Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra with a powerful battery - it took 60% in 2 hours. 5. The problem is not glasses, but still - Kinopoisk does not work to protect content from piracy, support explained that it does not support this mode of operation (Samsung DeX). 6. The price is very high. It is clear that a novelty, but with such a set of problems . Not worth it.
