"Red" was brown (I understand henna dyes, that red wasn't red, it was definitely brown) and "brown" was completely invisible - once applied and peeled off it was gone (didn't skin tainted at all). You can find these little gems. Just the right amount of henna in a quick drying gel, packed in a handy sized bottle with a metal applicator tip and attached cap. Pros: I like the small bottle and its thin, pointed metal tip; much easier to use than cones, love the attached cap. The colors are great and dry quickly. Cons: The bottles are a bit smaller than expected but still a good size and comparable to the amount found in a cone.

It was a good buy but the reason I bought it was because I could freckle my face and would like to would do tattoos. But it didn't dry properly on my face so I didn't get the freckles I wanted. So if that's what you wanted with this purchase, I wouldn't have gotten it. But if you just want to get him tattooed then you should go 'cause mine lasts for months man that's crazy! I decided to try the henna kit and it's not bad. Brown doesn't work at all, which is the main downside. So far, black has the most pigment and lasts the longest. Red works, but you need to leave it on much longer than recommended. I've had the best results leaving the decal and ink on for a few hours and they usually wash off after about a week depending on how often you exfoliate. Not bad for the price paid, just a shame the brown color doesn't work at all.

This is a really cute and functional product. It takes some practice to get the right layer of ink, but it's forgivable if you don't. Lasts 3 to 5 days with regular hand washing. You can also use it on materials other than leather. I enjoyed this product. It's all natural.
