The product is excellent but there has been a confusion on the shades. I ordered medium/dark and the packaging said medium/dark. However, when I applied the product, it was noticeably lighter. Looking back at the box, there was a second label on the tube that said "light/medium" and "light/medium". Once the product sinks into my skin I can wear any of these but I feel the medium/dark color offers the best coverage for my skin tone.

During the summer I had trouble finding a lightweight foundation that didn't clog my pores, and I haven't had much luck with CC creams (too heavy) or tinted moisturizers (too light). I don't know why it's so hard to match dark/olive skin? But that! This has always been a challenge for me, but now Balm Shelter is my tinted moisturizer for excellent coverage that makes my skin glow without looking too dewy. I've been using this product for a few years now and really like it. It's so easy on your face, looks natural, no side effects etc. I have Rocesia, it has no effects at all. I got way less the last time I ordered it, love it so much!

I am so glad I found this product. I've used Laura Mercier and Aveda, I didn't like either of them. Many products have yellow undertones, but I'm pink. I bought the shade Medium Dark because I'm mimicking a tan. Goes perfectly with my tan. This is a great product but hard to find. The only color I could find was a shade darker than what I usually order, but it works. I have NEVER burned myself while wearing this. It's easier to apply if you apply a light moisturizer first.
