Works great when you just need it for yourself! Took a total of 1 1/2 hours on EIGHT batteries! Maybe rechargeable batteries are ok, but even then you need a lot of them!

I spend all day working on a ranch in the cold and they have helped me a lot. My feet are no longer cold or sore from the cold at the end of the day.

Bought these for my wife who is known to have cold feet. They seem to be working fine. At the maximum setting, the battery lasts about 2.5 hours. We used rechargeable ones as others said they would last longer.

They work really well. They heat exactly as advertised. However, the battery packs are bulky, only last three hours and require 4 AA batteries for EACH insole. Not sure how long it lasts but my wife enjoyed 3 hours of warm feet.

Advantages: They work! Feel the heat almost immediately! I use them for hunting and my fingers stay hot while standing on the stand. Cons: Battery life - a set of batteries lasts about 3-4 hours. Batteries are a must! After a short walk, the battery pack slides out of the case, which is strapped to the ankle.

I was looking for an alternative to disposable insoles to save money and the environment, but a set of 8 AA batteries was enough for just one warm-up session. I wore them for three hours and the batteries died. Not sure if the intention is to put in 8 new batteries every time I wear them, but that won't work for me, so I'll be back.

This is an overview of the dual AA battery model. I bought this model and another with brand name batteries. The two AA battery model doesn't provide enough heat for me. The patented battery model does just that. I contacted the company and they confirmed it. If your feet get cold as quickly as mine, buy a more expensive model and they'll warm my cold feet in 15 minutes while I'm hunting in the shade in 20 degrees Fahrenheit.
