I really like this tool. The stem is strong, the steering wheel hook ensures the tool stays in place during use, and the caulking gun-style lock/unlock ensures the stem stays at the desired length. I am very happy with my purchase.

I use it for a boat ramp so the car is normally on. The electronic steering wheel moves very slightly, so as soon as I step on the pedal it turns my steering wheel. The kind that puts pressure on your seat would be safer for me. To work by car, my car is off and the wheel does not move easily. A pedal depressor is perfect for this.

The tool works great. I use it every day at the store to check my brake lights or hold the gas pedal down to open the throttle so I can clean it. The only downside to this is that depending on the car's steering wheel, you may need to position the tool at 5 or 7 o'clock instead of the 6 o'clock dead center, which can cause the wheels to turn a bit. If the car doesn't go anywhere, then it's fine. So far there have been no problems with it.
