💻 Unshielded Passthrough Ethernet Connectors for Improved Connectivity Review

These connectors do the job and I have no problem re-crimping. The stress relief is very pleasant. My reason for 4 stars is the packaging. Strain relief and connectors are in the same bathroom and are not organized in any way. It would be 5 stars if they packaged them in separate plastic in the tub. or put some kind of partition in the bathtub.

I bought these on purpose because they came with balancing boots. The boots should snap into place, but the closure is very weak and they come undone easily. I had to use super glue to hold them in place. When I cut the wires with a crimping tool, the two outer wires (pin 1 and 8) are not completely severed. I have to use a knife to cut the last few strands. I'm not sure if this is an issue with the tool or the connectors.

These connectors are great! I like stress relief. One important note though if you are looking for true Cat6 connectors is that as far as I can tell it is only Cat5e. I believe Cat6 offset every other wire in the connector slightly above or below the adjacent one to prevent crosstalk. Not this one. That's why I can't give this 5 stars. That being said, they're still great Cat5e connectors. So if that's what you're looking for, this is a good choice.
