Ideal for carry-on luggage

Airlines have size and weight restrictions on carry-on luggage. That's totally fine. It was comfortable to wear. The laptop bag worked easily as an additional personal item. The compartments inside the suitcase came in handy to organize the contents during the trip. The semi-rigid suitcase is significantly better than the soft luggage I've used so far. Despite the relatively high price, this product is worth it.

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Out of fashion

My favorite short travel bag

Aside from the looks, this bag makes 2-3 day business trips an easy task. I can comfortably put on pants, shoes, shirt, toiletries and my notebook and navigate the queues and crowded overhead bins of today's airline world with ease. It would probably be possible to pack things up super and do a 5 day trip depending on where and what time of year. The zippers are strong and smooth. Plenty of compartments and a mini pull out electronics pocket holds everything I normally need for computers etc…

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Minor issues

The description of this bag should be better

I ordered it and sent it back quickly. This bag has several serious design flaws, the biggest of which is the backpack straps. You have to take one off to open the back as the latch is above the zipper. The interior volume is smaller than expected as these large shoe and upper compartments fit into the main compartment of the bag. I thought they went to a separate area. A separate tech pocket is a nice addition, but you'll need to detach it to access anything. Art defeats the target is easy to…

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Expensive

Withstands a lot more than you think

I recently bought my Thule Subterra for a trip to Iceland and London. I was lucky and got a used one - like new. When I opened the box, I imagined the bag would be much larger. However, don't judge a book by its infamous cover. I was very happy with how much it can hold. The only reason I needed to take another bag on the trip was because we were doing an ice caving tour and I needed to take my cold weather gear with me. Otherwise, I could do a week-long trip just with my Subterra. I also…

17 inch laptops are good for camping and hiking

Love the colors and love the design. I was really hoping the laptop bag would fit a 17 inch laptop. I can't use a smaller computer and can't find any sleeve size information that comes with this backpack. The label on the bag says it fits 15 inch laptop. The space for a laptop in the bag is quite large. I just wish Thule had made the case a little bigger to fit laptops of all sizes! UGHHH! I keep a backpack and just can't use the case. The back compartment is spacious enough. I'm just…
