Resin Replacement Watchband for Timex Q7B721 Review

I fitted a timex strap to my son's casio illuminator and it fit perfectly. The price was slightly cheaper than Casio. The installation took a little longer than expected just because I didn't use the right tools. I love the look of the band and the fact that it didn't look or feel cheap. We'll see how long it lasts in the end, but I think it's going to be a long time.

This is a replacement strap for my Timex Expedition watch (about 4 years old). It works well, fairly solid and plain black. Attaching a watch strap was a real struggle without the right tools. I was able to attach the first end fairly easily, but the other end was quite a hassle. I ended up taking another reviewer's advice and reducing the width of the strap a bit to allow it to connect.

The straps on this Timex watch will become brittle over time from exposure to the sun, chlorine and salt water. The strap usually comes first, but this time the strap collar snapped. This strap model replaces the original replacement strap and fits comfortably. If you don't have young eyes, it's helpful to work under a magnifying glass, as the pins to insert are quite small. Once you put it on it fits great and you can wear it for about five years so it's worth buying two.

Apparently the bracket has been changed in the latest version of this watch. The fastening part of the strap is already a few millimeters thick compared to the old one and now has small "shoulders" that are so wide that the strap doesn't fit properly between the eyelets. This made it a lot harder to finish what was already a headache until I used a razor to cut them off!
