This watch is great if your only concern is not having a phone.

This watch is great if all you care about is a free phone to run with (I used the Map My Run app on my iPhone 6 and it was too bulky). Pace, calories, mile intervals and total time and mileage. The battery drains quicker than expected, that's the only reason I didn't give it the full 5 stars.

That does not work! 3 things I want to have.

Does not work! The 3 things I need in a running watch are time, pace and distance. The time is right. The tempo varies greatly depending on the movement of the hands. I tried "medium speed". This is the average pace for the ENTIRE RULE. It is a useless tool in long-distance running. The distance deviates by an average of 0.1-0.2 miles per mile! That also makes the average pace wrong! save your money Buy cheap watches in the shop for pennies! Back to Garmin.

Barely Audible Alerts

The watch is simple and for the most part easy to set up. I use it for interval running (walking/running) which means I really need to hear it tell me when to change pace. Tin beeps are barely audible even on a quiet (not yet open) golf course. There's no way to increase the volume, so I often have to glance at my watch to check the interval time. The GPS worked great the first time, but since then I have not been able to retrieve the signal even though I drove the same route. The route is…

Suitable for non-professional runners; limited display

This Timex is pretty easy to set up and use. The only thing that bothers me is the display. It only displays two data points at a time. For example, you can choose to show time and distance, but then you have to scroll to see your pace and other data points. With my old Timex, I could see elapsed time, distance, and pace at the same time. This clock can be turned off to save battery power. It will take about a minute or two for the GPS to pick up the signal, but you must be in an open area. Do…
