TOPGREENER built-in duplex socket

Now I can put the chest of drawers against the wall! The plug still sticks out a bit, but once installed, these built-in sockets are absolutely worth their price!

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Too small for (some) forks.

The front panel is too small to accommodate most connectors. My charger doesn't fit and I doubt heavy duty cords will fit. It just has to be a little bit more; may be a quality control issue for this launch.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Null

Restricted use in electrical boxes, wiring and fittings

I needed to replace my bedside socket with this one but as my socket was semi switchable and controlled by a wall switch this socket didn't work for me as both sides interlocked are connected. It's also deep and difficult to tuck into the back box.

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Large and bulky

Ideal for narrow mounts

This is absolutely necessary when making a thin, low profile mount or the connector presses against the back of your electronic device. Just remember that you don't need a lot of wiggle room when plugging in Romex as this outlet reduces space in a single box. Also note that this will not fit every type of transformer plug (brick) as the sides are too narrow.

  • great product

They only fit Electrics

You're just OK. They fit, but unfortunately only a thin and flexible cable with a straight connector really helps here. An extension or lengthening will cause the cord to stick out further than a device with a right angle plug. Also frustrating is that the spring clips don't have a release connector, meaning you'll have to cut them off after plugging in the power wires. to remove this socket. If you only have a small cord in your outlet, it can be a big problem. Also, I don't see any UL listing

Great product for Sockets

These are really good recessed sockets to use behind a worktop. This allows devices to be placed closer to the wall without interfering with the cord plug. This is the only place I've found tamper evident cutouts, which are required here by code. The reason I gave it four stars instead of five is because the sockets weren't offered in the medium-sized cases I usually use.
