Nice cutlery holder. Continuous. My only complaint is that the butter knives aren't long enough to hold without tipping them to fit.

Brown paint or lacquer will continue to come off if the base is wiped lightly with a damp cloth. I would not recommend it for cutlery which is why I bought it. Who knows what might be in the paint or varnish you would put your dishes on.
