We have purchased these towel sets 4 times in the last 8 years. We actively use them every day to clean the house, food, kids, dogs, etc. instead of paper towels. The first two times we ordered towels they were thicker and softer and definitely lasted longer. The third time we ordered a set the towels were thinner but we still liked them enough. The quality has deteriorated. I first ordered a pack in June 2014 and was pleased with the thickness and softness. The package I received in August 2016 was much worse. Thinner and rougher. These towels work well and are very expensive. I disassemble cars every day and these fill the bill well. They are very absorbent but too thick to finish the paint which is NOT a disadvantage. I use microfiber cloths for finishing. They are excellent for removing wax and polish, and if used too much for painting work they will be degraded for fabric and carpet work. They are also great for use in the kitchen. A typical kitchen towel feels too damp after drying my hands three times, but this one
