Terrible memory card for computers

This memory card failed to deliver the performance I was hoping for. As my tests showed, it's incredibly slow and unreliable. While the price may be tempting, you get what you pay for.

Pros
  • Inexpensive
Cons
  • Slow and unreliable

that I need reliable ECC flash and UDMA support. This has been done perfectly - read and write speeds overwhelm the ATA protocol, and it's incredibly fast for the mid 90's. I can't comment on reliability, but I've had very good experiences with Transcend products in the past. Great if you're doing something similar or maybe you need it for old industrial plants.

  • Memory cards

Unfit for intended use

I was trying to use this card to replace an IDE hard drive on a Tandy 2500 XL/2. I need an "industrial" CF card because the medium is characterized as a hard disk. The computer will NOT boot when the card is inserted into the IDE to CF adapter. Another card does not cause this problem on this computer (a very old Canon card from the camera). I tried this card on another, newer PC and although it started the computer fine and I was able to run FDISK to partition the card, it resulted in repeated

Pros
  • Transcend Industrial Cf Card 200X 1GB (TS1GCF200I)
Cons
  • Some bugs
