"Mandatory article " for every first aid kit.

When I burned my hand I had to learn the hard way that I really needed a large bandage that wouldn't stick to the wound. Learn from my mistake! Keep something on hand. You may never need it, but when you have it and you don't, it only causes more pain and increases the chance of infection. Also ideal for large scratches and cuts.

Large Waterproof Clear Plasters

We live in a rural area far from medical services and we have a first aid kit. We are happy to add dressings. The size of each patch is 4 inches by 4.7. Adhesive edges stick well. The part covering the wound is gauze. The patch is clear and breathable, and it's also said to be waterproof, which we haven't tested yet. You get 50 individually wrapped patches in this set for 20 or 40 cents each, which is a good deal.

Absolutely essential when using a medicated patch. 2 strong thumbs up.

When they say it's waterproof, they mean it. It forms a nice thin but strong membrane around what you need. In this case, it's a medical patch that I have to change every few days. You don't HAVE to write on it, but it helps me to keep track. They are also perfect for making a custom sized headband without worrying about it falling off. then easier to remove. It stays put!*** Don't forget to shave the area before applying. It sticks so well that it takes your hair with it.

Nice and big. Just like the things I use in the hospital.

These transparent foil bandages fit well and are water-resistant. They are easy to use, as is Tegaderm, which I use in the hospital to protect IV fluids. I don't run a lot of IV's at home but they are still useful for dressing various small wounds, cuts, abrasions etc so very versatile. In fact, the only reason I prefer them over patches is because they're less noticeable and don't leave a messy residue that's a mixture of glue and dust/lint. At $0.40 each, they're a bit more expensive than the

Convenient to have at hand. Fits easily in backpacks

An interesting thing. If you have a wound or burn that requires a bandage or gauze but needs to keep the area clean, they can help. They don't stick to the gauze, just the skin around it. You never know when something is going to happen, like grease on your hand or a brush with a hot pan. You don't need to put the patch directly on top of it. That's where they come in. You can put some ointment on a piece of gauze and then put one over it to keep the area clean, dry and protected. They're all…

High quality, latex-free, clear film dressing with a wide range of uses...

These clear film dressings are larger than many others I own. They can be used to cover anything from abrasions to a feeding tube. They can be used in a medical facility as they have a place to write the name and date. If desired, it can be removed from the front of the bandage. There is enough adhesion around the edges of the dressing so that it adheres well to the skin. When I tried to remove it, it lifted slightly with no tension on skin or body hair. Lot number, date of manufacture and…

Excellent waterproof bandage

My husband is a veterinarian and he was biting his hand hard when he felt a dog's (sore) thigh just before we went on holiday. We planned on snorkeling and spending a lot of time on the beach, so we were worried about keeping the bite clean and preventing infection while still having fun (he was on oral antibiotics, but still). These headbands arrived just in time! I threw them in a suitcase and we were able to keep his wound clean, dry and free of infection. He used to wear a taped surgical…
