Using these walking shoes our team found that they had great arch support and cushioning, and kept our feet feeling comfortable even after long walks. I wear Alegria as often as I can. This is my first time trying shoes like sneakers. The sole is not as firm as hoped, but very soft. The outsole has a good lug for walking outdoors or going to the gym. This is a breathable fabric. I have wide feet and they gave and weren't stiff at all which is good for a running shoe, no break required. If, like me, you have very bad feet and need very strong support, you may need a strong insole with added arch support to wear on long walks or hikes.
