similar to umbrella fabric

Used as a backpack for a trip to Europe. There were no problems with theft, but some of the material on the bag is thin, similar to the material used to make an umbrella. The lower part is definitely cut resistant and has lockable zippers. I kept it because it was light.

Pros
  • Special offer
Cons
  • Not all will fit

I used it very lightly for several days.

I used it very rarely in the few days of my trip before the stitching on the shoulder strap unraveled. Very, very cheaply made. I was stuck for the rest of the trip as I didn't want to risk the bag breaking before the end of my trip to an unsafe area.

Pros
  • Looks good
Cons
  • Secret

The perfect addition to your travel kit

I love that I can fold this backpack up into a small clutch bag to carry in my luggage or carry on. Then use this at my destination instead of a wallet. The anti-theft features make it ideal for trips abroad when you are afraid of pickpocketing. It's big enough to fit a snack, water bottle, camera and all your essentials, keeping everything safe and sound while you go sightseeing. The material also seems to be quite water-repellent when you're out and about in the rainy season.

Pros
  • A Dream Come True
Cons
  • Zero

Beware! Not full size as advertised.

Attention! This is NOT a full size backpack. You must have straps included to make it 17 inches. As you can see from my photos, I have 14 inches. The Travelon is the gray backpack in the middle photos. The backpacks on both sides are the backpacks my kids used at school. Side view of the shoulder straps. Very disappointed. This isn't a $38 backpack, even with lockable zippers and RFID. I might go back and be really mad that it's going to cost me $7. I believe this is my second negative reviewโ€ฆ

Travel size is best for everyday backpacks

My first thoughts: The backpack was smaller than I expected. Bigger than a small children's backpack. It's packaged very well and I love the RFID and anti-cut features. I got this for my mum who is taking a trip to Europe so will update this when she comes back. So while the backpack seems durable and worthy of its function. The straps are adjustable and this size is enough to fit a jacket inside and a water bottle or hydroflask in the side pockets. The zippers seem strong enough. Haven't tried

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

Was disappointed when I received it.

Was disappointed when I received it. It's an easy wait, but for the most part, not much better than any other lightweight travel backpack, and it's a lot bulkier. The bottom and front covers have some serious protection, but that's about it. Otherwise the bag is like any other travel backpack and not as durable as some of them. I thought it might have a front compartment where the bottom is well protected, but it doesn't. All easily accessible compartments can also be easily cut. I would neverโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Something different

So useful for trips abroad but needs an upgrade

This backpack was a lifesaver on a recent long trip abroad. We've been to areas with a lot of pickpockets and this bag has security zippers all over. When folded, there is practically nothing to throw in the case, but it holds a lot of heavy things. However, the backpack needs a major upgrade to make it better. Being easy to pack, it has no reinforcement on the shoulder straps or on the back. That means you can't use it as a backpack if you put your camera, umbrella or other heavy items in itโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Great Price
