Perfectly stops heat transfer. Keeps surfaces cool. Be careful not to bend it as it looks like it could break in half. Use it as directed and it's fine. Would recommend buying.

I have several round ones but was looking for a way to handle larger dishes. They're 7 inches tall like my others, but because they're square I can put two or more of them side by side and still store them with the round ones.
